The Güterhof, built in 1787, is located on Freie Platz, directly on the Schifflände in Schaffhausen. In the 18th century, the Rhine was the most important transport route for all kinds of goods. More than two centuries later, it is hard to imagine that the freight yard originally served as a warehouse for salt.
