Mesob is the traditional Eritrean and Ethiopian table made of woven straw. It is shaped like an hourglass and is circular as people sit around it to eat together the traditional Eritrean and Ethiopian way. It has a lid that is kept on it until time to eat. When the food is ready, the top one is picked up by the mesob and the plates of food are placed in the mesob.
