Before the Haldenbach restaurant in District 6 opened its doors in May 2010, the innkeeper worked as a waiter in the infamous Rheinfelder Bierhalle in Zurich's Niederdorf for 17 years. That's why, in addition to Mediterranean specialties, Haldenbach primarily serves Swiss cuisine, with a fine giant cordon bleu on the menu. The new beginning was heralded by three alphorn players at the opening. Within a very short time, Haldenbach has established itself as a family-friendly neighborhood restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. A small oasis near the university and ETH with a view over Zurich.
